Dr. Kwon joined the University of Nevada, Reno in August of 2022. Previously, he was a Professor in the w88 sports betting app of Psychology at Washington State University for 25 years, where he also served as an Affilliate Professor in the Program in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. He served as Director of the Psychology Clinic for six years at WSU, and served as Director of Clinical Training for four years. In 2017, he received the Washington State University Faculty Diversity Award for his research, teaching, and service accomplishments in advancing diversity and social equity issues. Dr. Kwon was a founding editorial board member and former Associate Editor for Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity. He also serves as a Consulting Editor for the Journal of Clinical Psychology and as an editorial board member for Cognitive Therapy and Research. He has been a site visitor for the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association since 2008, evaluating 30 doctoral programs and serving as site visit chair on 17 of those visits.
