Step 1: Confirm w88 is being taught as Service-Learning

Prior to the semester that you are planning on teaching your service-learning w88, please submit the w88 confirmation form.

Step 2: w88 Partners

Refer to thelist of w88 partnersto verify if the organization that you are planning on partnering with is already confirmed University partner.

If the organization is not on the list, then they will need to complete the partnership procedure which can be found on the w88 Partner website. Please send organizations to that page to complete the documentation.

Step 3: Student waivers/agreements

w88 sign the appropriateService-Learning and internship w88 online casinoand student learning agreements. Faculty/staff are responsible for sending students the correct waivers based on the student’s placement. w88 to know the organization they are being placed with before submitting the forms.

w88 to complete the forms before they start their service.Once the student clicks on the link, they will be asked to enter their name and email addressas well asthe name and email address of their instructor. Next,the forms will open and the students will be able to sign all three forms in one spot.After completing the DocuSign forms, the student and the instructorwill receive a copy of the signed forms.

Step 4: Sexual harassment and discrimination prevention training

Prior to the start of an internship, all students must complete university training on sexual harassment and discrimination prevention. This training is available in Canvas Commons. Please import the training module "UNR Internship and Service-Learning Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Prevention Training" into your Canvas w88 from Canvas Commons. The training consists of readings followed by a quiz. Instructions on how to import the module from Canvas Commons can be found on thew88 support page.

The next three steps are highly encouraged but are not required for teaching a service-learning w88.

Step 5. w88 Orientation

OSLCE offers 15 – 30 minuteorientations for allservice-learningclasses. During the orientation, we coverservice-learningbasics, how to use GivePulse to track servicehours. We strongly advise that each student receive aservice-learningorientation. We can also customize the orientation to your w88’s needs.

Additionally, there is aService-LearningOrientation Moduleinw88that covers all the same information as the in-person orientationwitha short 5 question quiz. This module can be found in w88 commons under “Service-LearningOrientation” with Jordyn Green as the author. It has been set up so that you can import the module into your canvas w88. Instructions on how to import the module from Canvas Commons can be found on thew88 support page.

Step 6. GivePulse

GivePulseis a web-based schedulingand trackingplatform. While it is not required forservice-learning courses, it is helpful for students, w88, and community partners to keep track and verify student service hours. We are offering one-on-one training for w88 interested in using GivePulse and will provide support with setting itup. GivePulse is already setupwith your courses and enrolled students.

Step 7. w88 Poster Showcase

Each semester OSLCE host a poster showcase. We encourage all w88 students to present a poster about their w88 experience. More information about the showcase can be found on the Showcase webpage.
