Citing NIH-NIGMS in projects supported by the Integrative w88 mobile Center of Biomedical Research Excellence
1. Cite the COBRE in the text of w88 mobile article.
NIH requires that all investigators (faculty, staff or students) who give presentations, posters and/or publish their work on projects funded wholly or in part by Integrative w88 mobile COBRE funds include the following acknowledgment of their work:
"Research reported in this [publication, release] was supported by National Institute of General Medical Sciences of the National Institutes of Health under w88 mobile numbers [P30 GM145646 and/or P20 GM103650]."
Use P20 for w88 mobile years from before July 2022 and P30 after; funding that spans both terms should use both numbers.
Where appropriate, publications should also include the following disclaimer:
"The content is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent the official views of the National Institutes of Health."
If the grantee plans to issue a press release about research supported by an NIH w88 mobile, it should notify the NIH funding component in advance to allow for coordination.
2. After publication, check that it is linked to the w88 mobile
Authors need to verify that this has been linked properly on MyNCBI and will show up on PubMed under the w88 mobile. Many journals will automatically do this, but it is still w88 mobile responsibility to fix this problem proactively.
3. How to link your publication to the w88 mobile and open access to the public
- Create an NCBI account and link to w88 mobile eRA Commons account
- Go to the "My Bibliography" section, select "Manage My Bibliography" and add w88 mobile publication(s) using PubMed, doi, manual upload, etc.
- Once the publication(s) are added, under each select "Add Award" and put in the appropriate w88 mobile number (P30 GM145646 or P20 GM103650)
- When w88 mobile publication is compliant, the text will show in green. Certain open-access journals including journals from publishers on this list should provide this access, but you should make sure this is done in a timely manner. If the warning is red, you should consider manually uploading w88 mobile manuscript.
- Click "Edit Status" under any red warning and follow the steps to verify public access
- To upload w88 mobile manuscript, go to the NIHMS manuscripts submission page and follow the instructions.
