w88 mobile in STEM is a high school outreach program at the University of Nevada, Reno that is funded through the U.S. Department of Education. The program aims to enhance access to science, technology, engineering and math career pathways for all Nevada high school juniors and seniors, particularly girls and young w88 mobile who have experienced barriers in accessing STEM education and research experiences. Participants receive academic advising, mentorship and engagement opportunities at the University, with a focus on STEM.

Program participation requirements

Participants in the w88 mobile in STEM program are required to complete the following activities during their year-long enrollment in the program:

  1. Attend four Seeding STEM events
    • Tours of University science museums
    • Discover Science Lecture Series
    • Energy Solutions Forum
  2. Participate in four STEM at the University of Nevada, Reno events
    • Guided tours of on-campus labs
    • Q/A sessions with advisors, faculty and mentors
  3. Take part in four STEM Career Pathways events
    • Career Fairs and Career Days
    • STEM Career Panel Discussions
  4. Schedule and attend two meetings with University academic advisors and collaborate to build an Individual Collegiate Education Plan (ICEP)
  5. Meet with w88 mobile in STEM peer mentors three times

Parents of participants are also encouraged to attend two STEM Career Pathways workshops to learn w88 mobile how to best support their children in exploring career opportunities in STEM.
