Dietetic Advisory Board

Purpose:

Our Dietetic Advisory Board is to provide leadership with broad-based advice and guidance on strategies and direction that serve to strengthen the institution’s programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). This includes the Dietetic Internship Program and the Didactic Program in Dietetics.

Advisory Board Members’ Responsibilities:

  1. Attend two meetings annually.
  2. Review and provide advice and guidance concerning the long term vision and strategic planning in areas that relate to program quality, accreditation, community engagement, and student success.

3.Participate in sub-committees, as/ if needed, in support of specific initiatives.

  1. Identify and/or advocate for resources that may assist the w88 sports betting app, Reno in sustaining and advancing ACEND accredited programs.
  2. Serve for a minimum of two years at which time, the institution may invite members to serve two consecutive terms (for a total of four years).

Advisory Board Meetings:

The board will convene at least two times per year; during January and August. If needed, members serving on sub-committees will meet on an ad-hoc basis at a time convenient to the members. To facilitate participation among statewide membership, technology-based conferencing will be employed.

Advisory Board Members:

Board members are nominated by Nutrition Department Faculty and affirmed by the Dean of the College (or his/her designee) based on the nominee’s ability and willingness to fulfill the responsibilities listed above.

The board shall include representatives from a) organizations who have education relationships with the University; b) representatives of professional associations, and community and government agencies; c) other allied-health professionals; d) the institution’s dietetic program leadership; and e) at least one University faculty member who is external to the College.
