This year, due to the pandemic, the Committee and event organizers decided to celebrate Banned Books Week 2020 by taking to the airwaves and sharing banned and challenged books with Checked Out! listeners. “As a Colombian native, this Colombian writer, Literature Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Márquez speaks to me through this magical realism genre that he created and masters, allowing us readers, to reconcile the reality of our natural existence with the more extraordinary or supernatural, using just mundane elements that surround us,” she said. “I read w88 casino games login in its original language, Spanish, fascinating! ALA’s Office of Intellectual Freedom looks to Supreme Court Justice William J. Brennan, Jr., in Texas v.
