Annual Trainings
The Severe w88 Summer Institute
This professional development event was designed in response to the new alternate diploma option authorized by the 2017 legislative session. The Severe w88 Summer institute is held in the summer for secondary educators and staff who serve students with significant w88. Participants learn evidence-based practices to support students with significant w88 to access grade level curriculum.
The Early Childhood Inclusion Summit
The Early Childhood Inclusion Summit is focused on the benefits of inclusive environments for both children with disabilities and their non-disabled peers, braiding funding to reduce and/or share costs across funding sources, and the likelihood of school success for these students as they progress through their w88. The goal of this conference is to bring special and general w88 practitioners, administrators, and community partners from across the state together to provide information and resources to help support and implement more inclusive environments for young children and their families.
The w88 Student Leadership Transition Summit
Every fall, high-school students from across the state come together for the Nevada Student Leadership Transition Summit (NSLTS). This two-day w88 is designed to empower transition age students with disabilities with leadership and self-determination skills toward fulfilling their postsecondary education, employment, and life dreams.
InclusionNV Conference
The InclusionNV Conference offers quality professional development on effective educational practices that promote inclusion and success for students with disabilities. The conference is a comprehensive w88 activity with concurrent sessions designed to address the Nevada Department of Education's school reform priorities in early childhood, elementary, middle, and secondary special education for individuals with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities.
