Summary

w88 casino gamesHow’mu! My name is Rayelle Sims and I am a member of the Duck Valley Shoshone Paiute Tribes of Owyhee, Nevada. However, I am blessed to call the beautiful lands of Tamudu (the Fort McDermitt Paiute Shoshone Tribes) my home.

My first experience in higher education came when I was six years old when my mother attended United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, ND for her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. It was then that she w88 online casinotaught me about the value of furthering my education beyond high school. Upon graduating from McDermitt Combined Schools, I moved to Reno, Nevada where I attended the University of Nevada, Reno. In 2016, I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Treatment Services from the University and plan to attend graduate school in the future.

During my collegiate career, I had the opportunity to deepen my experience w88 casinoin community advocacy, outreach, and education through various internship opportunities. These opportunities allowed me to establish a sense of duty to assist Native students with similar backgrounds to achieve their academic and career ventures while keeping a solid foundation of personal wellness. Some areas I am particularly passionate about include mental health, suicide prevention, higher education, w88 live casinoculture revitalization, and language preservation.

In 2018, I welcomed my beautiful daughter Tsomee Rose and in 2021, I was granted the two-for-one special with my twins, Tavee and Ta’mahnee. In my spare time, I enjoy visiting Lake Tahoe with my family, daydreaming about Halloween/Christmas, and beating everyone in my husband’s Fantasy Football League.
