The Object Speaks Volumes
Learn from artist, curator, and gallerist Sam Harvey in this ceramics workshop. Explore a variety of hand-building techniques, form, color, and surface through demonstrations and creative exercises. Discover a new creative way to build expressive, functional forms with a focus on glazing and its relation to form.
About the artist
Sam Harvey is a ceramic artist with extensive knowledge and passion for the ceramic w88. He received his MFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute. Sam has been an artist in residence at Sun Valley Center and Anderson Ranch w88 Center. He has taught nationally and internationally, including in Nepal, Taiwan, and Japan. His work has been exhibited at venues such as LillStreet w88 Center in Chicago, Santa Fe Clay in Santa Fe, and Trax Gallery in Berkeley, CA.
