Join plein-air painter Phyllis Trowbridge to explore Lake Tahoe’s breathtaking landscapes. Learn outdoor oil painting fundamentals, including composing and simplifying landscapes while adapting to changing light and weather.
About the artist
Phyllis Trowbridge is a visual artist who has worked in painting and drawing for over 30 years. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and juried shows, including the Bowery Gallery in New York and the Portland Art Museum. Phyllis has been an artist-in-residence at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology and the Vermont Studio Center. She holds a BA from Hamilton College and an MFA in painting from American University. Currently, she teaches painting and drawing at Portland Community College.
