Summary

My name is Julián Cardona. I hold an MSc in Water Science, Policy and Management (University of Oxford, UK) and an MSc in Public Management and Public Policy (LSE, UK). I am also a Hubert H. For most of my professional life, I had the opportunity to work for public and private organizations in Colombia, leading innovative social and environmental projects. In 2016, I made a halt in my professional career to study one of my greatest intellectual passions: water as a fundamental resource for human and environmental development. After that, I worked for The Nature Conservancy on water governance, advising Water Funds in different countries in Latin America and Africa and designing long-term financial mechanisms to secure water w88 slot online conservation. At the University of Nevada Reno, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Hydrology with a focus on the governance of groundwater w88 slot online. Building on studies on past and ongoing water governance processes in the Colorado River Basin, my research focuses on studying local/regional experiences of managing groundwater through collaborative governance that contribute to climate adaptation.
