Summary
I am a Ph.D. w88 working with Dr. Scott Allen studying the complex relationships between water, soil and vegetation at the landscape level. My research focuses on the ecohydrology of snow-soil-vegetation interactions in Denali National Park. I conduct both winter and summer field studies collecting empirical data to understand the mechanisms behind vegetation changes in the subarctic of Alaska. In addition to my Ph.D. I am also pursuing a concurrent MA in Gender, Race, and Identity studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. When not tromping around in the shrubs up north, I enjoy mountain biking, skiing, sewing and swimming in (arguably too cold) bodies of water.
