The Graduate School at the University of Nevada, Reno periodically offers a “w88 slot Mentors” workshop series thatruns over the course of two days with 1 three-hour session each day. The w88 slot is open to all academic faculty, postdocs and other faculty with w88 slot responsibilities, and offers the opportunity to discuss w88 slot with faculty peers. Establishing an ongoing, supportive network of faculty mentors is a critical component of the series. Nine of ten past faculty attendees found these workshops to be a productive use of time and would recommend them to other faculty.

The Graduate School hosts w88 slot Mentors workshops each semester.

"w88 slot Mentors" is a multi-part workshop series for faculty and postdocs that will include discussions of aligning expectations, fostering independence, maintaining effective communication, and promoting professional development. See below for upcoming workshop sessions and topics.

  • Who: Hosted by Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in w88 slot (CIMER) trained faculty facilitators on campus

To fully complete this workshop series, it is required to attend all four session topics. Please note we are offering these sessions every spring and fall semester which allows you to attend some in the spring and some in the fall if you cannot attend four consecutively in one semester. It is a requirement of the Nevada DRIVE program that faculty mentors participate in the w88 slot Mentors workshop series.

The University of Nevada, Reno is a member institution of the NCFDD, an organization offering professional development, training, and w88 slot resources to faculty members, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students at colleges and universities across the country.

Individual Development Plans (IDPs)

The Individual Development Plan (IDP) is a document designed to guide mentees (traditionally postdocs, but w88 slot students will find the material valuable as well) toward an independent career. Completing and sharing an IDP between a mentee and advisor allows open discussion of goals, development of a plan for success and handle challenges that arise.
