Dr. Brody’s research examines the relationship between media content and industries, cultural practices, and LGBTQ+ identities and communities, particularly as they relate to sports culture. Specifically, Brody investigates the ways in which norms are produced by, and through, media texts, w88 sports betting app practices, and economic policies in order to better understand how they affect lived realities. Brody’s work utilizes a variety of qualitative methods, including textual/discourse analysis, field studies, in-depth interviews, netnographies, and surveys. In addition to his academic appointment, Brody consults for entertainment and consumer goods companies, as well as brand strategy firms.
