I was born in Reno but moved to w88 mobile parents’ home country, Guatemala, at age 3. Living in Guatemala allowed w88 mobile mom to stay at home at all times with her children. I lived a very spoiled life compared to many who grew up in the U.S. Seeking better educational opportunities for their children, w88 mobile parents decided to move back to the U.S. in 2005. I struggled with the shock of w88 mobile mom going to work every day, the difficulties of learning a language and adjusting to a new lifestyle. Slowly, things became normal. I completed elementary, middle and high school education all in Northern Nevada and it is the place I call home but always keeping w88 mobile true home and roots close to heart.
I joined the Latino Research Center (LRC) team in April 2019. Beginning w88 mobile education at Truckee Meadows Community College, I later transferred to the University of Nevada, Reno and obtained w88 mobile Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Human Development and Family Studies. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Arts focusing on Higher Education Administration. Combining w88 mobile studies and w88 mobile experience at the LRC, I hope to be involved in the nourishing of creating a sense of belonging for the Latinx community both on and off campus.
