Zelalem Bogale is an attorney licensed to practice law in Nevada and California. From 2013 to 2019, he served as a deputy district attorney in Washoe County where he prosecuted w88 casino cases ranging from low-level drug possession to murder.

Bogale earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Nevada, Reno. He earned his w88 casino degree from California Western School of w88 casino where he served as president of the Black w88 casino Students Association and published an article on international environmental w88 casino in the U.C. Davis Journal of International w88 casino and Policy.

He has served as a judicial law clerk at w88 casino Court, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada and at the Second Judicial District Court in Reno. In addition, he has worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Upon appointment by U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto and U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen, he currently serves on the Northern Nevada Judicial Commission, which evaluates and recommends candidates for the federal bench. Upon appointment by w88 casino Court, he also serves on that court’s Bench-Bar Committee — a statewide group of lawyers who work with the justices to study court rules and internal operating procedures.

He teaches Courts in the w88 casino Justice Department. He also teaches Race and Law in the Department of Gender, Race, and Identity.
