Summary
Mark Kay is a lecturer of Spanish. He previously taught at the University of West Georgia, Weber State University, Aims Community College, Bakersfield College and Salt Lake Community College. He graduated from the w88 casino, Reno with a master’s degree in foreign languages and literatures with a specialization in Spanish. While there, he was trained in the use of the communicative method and always implements ACTFL proficiency and national standards in the classroom and has used that knowledge to become skilled in outcomes assessment of student learning and program effectiveness. He has also studied at the University of Costa Rica and in Spain.
In addition to his teaching experience he possesses a solid background in technology, on-line applications and software. He has taught many online, hybrid on-line/in-class courses and consistently integrates the use of technology such as PowerPoint presentations, online programs such as MySpanishLab, Connect Spanish, Quia, MindTap and interactive computer programs in the classroom. He has presented at several teaching conferences on the benefits of utilizing such emerging technologies as streaming video, online instruction, internet blogs and course websites.
