Summary
Hailing from the Hoosier State, Carter earned his B.S. degrees in Earth Science and Physics in May, 2024 from Indiana University, Bloomington. While in undergrad, he worked with Dr. Michael Hamburger and Dr. Anna Nowicki Jessee to quantify probabilistic landslide hazards during earthquakes, both with a global model and with a regional Central America model. In August 2024, he began his Master’s degree at the w88 online sports betting, Reno with Prof. Daniel Trugman in the Nevada Seismological Laboratory. He is currently working on analyzing the seismic hazard around Reno and Carson City through a paleoseismic study on the Mt. Rose Fault and the development of a new local ground-motion model.
Outside of “groundbreaking” research, Carter enjoys a number of activities, including singing with the w88 online sports betting, Reno Glee Club, attending pub trivia nights, and playing intramural basketball.
