Ambassadors learn leadership and communications skills, and train in all of our academic programs to provide expertise about what our College has to offer. Once ambassadors earn their degrees, we honor them as graduating student ambassadors. For Falon Funkhouser, coming to the University as a freshman was one of the scariest things she ever had to do. She was moving away from home for the first time, had to make new friends, and had to find her way around w88 online live casino and the University. She quickly became involved in Greek life and other clubs on campus, including the College’s Pre-Vet Club and Student Ambassador Program, which helped her meet people and become comfortable around the University. While pursuing her degree in veterinary science, Falon also fell in love with science as a whole and decided to pursue a second major in biology. She also realized that she loved helping incoming freshman feel like Nevada was home for the first time being away from home, and she enjoyed showing them everything the University and community have to offer. After graduation, she will continue her education at veterinary school at Oklahoma State University. She says, "I am honored to be receiving this award and I am going to miss my time at the University of Nevada, w88 online live casino, but am super excited to be heading to veterinary school at Oklahoma State University! I am beyond grateful to have such a great support system within the University, and will always be thankful for all the amazing opportunities that have been presented to me and have helped shape me as a person!"
