We are committed to sharing any updates we have in order to understand any potential impact that our students, faculty and staff may experience. Here is some information that you may find useful:

Immigration enforcement activities on campus:The w88 online live casino Police Department does not ask anyone about their immigration status, and does not arrest anyone solely on the basis of their immigration status. w88 online live casino Police do not act on detainment actions issued by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Generally, ICE does not have unrestricted jurisdiction to operate on NSHE campuses. However, if ICE does present a valid judicial warrant, specifically a criminal warrant (not an administrative ICE detainer based solely on immigration status), w88 online live casino Police would assist in the same manner as it would with any other law enforcement agency.

If ICE, other immigration official(s), or other federal law enforcement officer(s) come onto NSHE property, students, faculty and staff should ask for proper identification, inquire as to the purpose of the visit, and then contact the w88 online live casino Police Department.

The w88 online live casino has made a commitment to provide our undocumented and DACA students with a number of resources needed to successfully navigate the often-complex path in reaching graduation – academic support, educational protections and benefits, legal support, mental health support and more. The Associated Students of the w88 casino will host “Know Your Rights,” a special event including a discussion panel with several campus and community experts, Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 4-6 p.m., in the Joe Crowley Student Union Theatre. The panel will discuss the rights of undocumented immigrants, first- and second-generation immigrants, birthright citizenship, and how to be an ally to these groups.
