High w88 casino and undergraduate students interested in a career in medicine are invited to attend a keynote address at the University of Nevada, Reno's Joe Crowley Student Union, Room 402, on Feb. 1 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
In cooperation with the University of Nevada School of Medicine's Latino Medical Student Association, Wilfredo Torres, M.D., once a child refugee of El Salvador's civil war, will discuss his path to medicine and host a question-and-answer w88 casino for those in attendance. Torres, a professor in the School of Medicine's obstetrics-gynecology department, is a firm believer in the power of mentorship. His keynote address is intended to target aspiring physicians.
Students from backgrounds historically underrepresented in medicine (low-income, first-generation, and students who did not begin college as premeds) are especially encouraged to attend. Attendees are also highly encouraged to network with medical students in attendance and sign up for w88 casino of Medicine outreach events. Parents and guardians are also welcome.
