On Friday, Oct. 21, members of the University of w88 sports betting app, Reno Arboretum Board teamed up with student volunteers to plant flowers and plants to beautify campus.
To celebrate Nevada w88 sports betting app Tree Week and Homecoming Week, volunteers replaced a plot of grass in front of the Frandsen Humanities building with an array of flowers and plants, including chrysanthemums, cone flowers, day lilies and Russian sage.
The event began promptly at 8 a.m. under crisp, blue skies and a chilly nip in the air at 45 degrees.

Volunteers dug holes, planted the flowers and then raked mulch over the soil to hamper weeds and retain moisture. With so many hard working volunteers, the project was completed by 9:30 a.m.

Grounds Services, under the leadership of Assistant Director of Grounds Services Marty Sillito, prepared the area for planting by removing grass, adding topsoil and supervising the volunteers.

"We're not technically planting any trees but we are reducing lawn and installing new plants that will reduce water and reduce competition with lawn and trees," Sillito said. Cheryll Glotfelty, chair of the Arboretum Board, said that this student-service project helps the University to maintain its certification as a w88 sports betting app Campus USA.
