The Gender, Race, and Identity Program has announced a new lecture w88 slot online, "DIY with GRI."
Each talk features a community member interested in alternate economies and local initiatives with global impacts. Presentations will feature a small project or skill followed by a talk about the different ways the speakers have realized unique visions for personal and societal change.
The monthly w88 slot online takes place on Mondays at noon in in the IGT-Mathewson Knowledge Center Rotunda
The second in the w88 slot online takes place on Monday, Oct. 15. Noah Silvermanof the Reno Bike Project (RBP) will be Oct. 15's featured speaker. Silverman will speak on how to patch tubes and will talk about the RBP's vision of how bicycle transportation leads to a cleaner, healthier, more democratic Washoe Valley.
