Talk about a full house.
Beginning Thursday, Aug. 25, 2,267 students will move into the campus' eight residence w88 slot, marking a new record for on-campus living. Compared with last year, the on-campus student population has risen by 6 percent.
Add to that the construction of a new residence hall opening in Fall 2012 and it's apparent why the w88 slot's Residential Life, Housing and Food Services will have such a busy academic year.
In addition to overall growth, the campus residence w88 slot have also seen an increase in the number of students participating in living-learning communities. These reserved spaces allow students with similar majors and interests to live in clusters and take classes together. Nevada now offers nine living-learning communities ranging from pre-nursing to women in science and engineering.
The new residence hall under construction north of Canada Hall will serve as the new home of the living-learning communities. The five-story, 320-beds hall will include four classrooms, faculty offices and generous lounge space.
