Dear Wolf Pack Family,

I hope the start of the fall semester has been a good one, and that you are finding the right balance of settling into a productive routine that also allows you the time to appreciate the possibilities that are still ahead. My wish is that you have an amazing semester filled w88 casino gameswith accomplishment and enjoyment.

As many of you are aware, during the past academic year, our Equal Opportunity and Title IX Office undertook an extensive effort to better meet our University’s needs. This included the implementation of a public-facing dashboard sharing Title IX reporting statistics, the hiring of additional personnel and the use of an increased budget.

I have several new developments to share with you for this semester.

First, over the summer the Equal Opportunity and Title IX Office underwent a name change and is now called the Center for Civil Rights and Equal Access. The name change is reflective and is more inclusive of the broad range of work that the office has always done, including monitoring Title IX compliance for our institution.

The Center for Civil Rights and Equal Access&w88 casinorsquo; work includes Title IX complaint processes, reporting for unlawful discrimination and harassment, investigations, prevention and compliance, resources, and community outreach and engagement. The forward-facing dashboard with Civil Rights reporting statistics is still available on the Center’s website.

The Center has also released a 2023 annual report, which can be downloaded from its website. The first “Center for Civil Rights and Equal Access Annual Report” is intended for the campus community to come to a better understanding of the University’s non-discrimination policies and expectations. The report is the first of its kind and will be provided each year to identify trends and patterns. The Center also intends to use the annual report w88 online casinoto develop strategic plans and engage in more targeted training and education.

Last fall, the University made a promise to our community that the work of our Center for Civil Rights and Equal Access would be transparent, accountable and effective in meeting the needs of our institution. If there were barriers in place that were preventing people from filing reports or seeking help, they needed to be removed. The staff of the Center for Civil Rights and Equal Access has been actively engaging with individuals and groups throughout campus to further the preventative measures aimed at fostering respect and responsibility and in making our campus a safer and more welcoming place. The work is ongoing, and the University’s commitment to it remains absolute.

Sincere regards,

Brian Sandoval
