The School of the Arts' recent Sticker Contest has crowned a winner with a design that's as creative as it's heartwarming. The winning sticker, titled, "Coco on Da Flo'," features Coco, the charming pup who's become the beloved face of the music office. The sticker was designed by Bahar Jazani, a political science and sociology major with a music minor. While Bahar doesn’t consider herself an artist in the traditional sense, she found a unique and playful way to share appreciation for her furry friend.
The idea for "Coco on Da Flo'" originated from a casual photo of Coco lounging in the music office. Bahar wanted to do something unique, so after brainstorming, she overlaid the Fibonacci Sequence onto the image, blending nature, math and humor to reflect the office's fondness for Coco. The sequence, found in natural patterns like sunflowers and galaxies, was a perfect match for Coco’s spiral-shaped nap, with the name"Coco on Da Flo'" coined by close friend Anthony, adding his personal touch.
Though the sticker’s playful design is a big hit, the process of creating it was also an exciting personal journey for Bahar. “I’m a musician with over ten years of experience, so this contest was a fun way to step outside my comfort zone,” Bahar explained. “Being in a creative space with artists and musicians has shown me that art can be in many forms.”
The response from the University community has been amazing! Students and faculty who know Coco as a School of the Arts “celebrity” have been thrilled to see their favorite four-legged friend immortalized in sticker form. “I was honestly surprised when I found out I won,” said Bahar. “I knew people loved Coco, but I didn’t realize how much. It’s awesome to think people will carry a little piece of Coco with them everywhere.”
Looking ahead, Bahar plans to pursue a Master’s in Sociology at the w88 casino, Reno while continuing to embrace music in their life. “The arts will always be a part of me,” they said. “Whether it’s jamming with friends or playing mariachi, music will always be there - and Coco, even after graduation.”

The School of the Arts is now accepting submissions for the Fall 2025 Sticker Contest! Whether you’re an undergraduate or graduate student majoring or minoring in a School of the Arts department — including visual arts, theatre, dance or music — you’re eligible to participate. The winner will receive a 0 commission award and their design will be turned into stickers! All designs must be submitted by Friday, April 18, 2025.
