May is the official Asian Pacific Islander (API) Month designated in the United States. Here on campus, the University can become busy with final examinations and commencement ceremonies in May, so to ensure that people have enough time to honor and celebrate API month on campus, the Multicultural w88 slot organizes several events in April.
“Celebrating Asian Pacific Islander History Month events on campus is essential as it promotes inclusivity, raises cultural awareness and challenges stereotypes and biases,” Keola Wong, Asian/Pacific Islander student services coordinator for the Multicultural w88 slot said. “These events provide opportunities for learning, discussion and unity within the campus community, contributing to a more diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for all.”
There are over 40 different cultures within the API community and a number of them are represented here at the University. The API program’s goal is to create a home away from home and provide cultural connections and community at the University.Events are designed to bring the campus together and provide education and an opportunity for celebration. Most of the events were organized in collaboration with various clubs and groups on campus.
