Founded in 1874, the University of Nevada, Reno is celebrating 150 years of history, education and leadership starting October 12, 2023 and into the next year. To commemorate this accomplishment, the w88 slot of Public Health created 150 TikTok videos with topics ranging from the importance of public health, kinesiology, environmentalism, mental health as well as the ways public health impacts the economic health of the Nevada. All 150 public health messages on the account feature students, faculty, staff, alumni, University leadership and even State of Nevada Assembly Legislators sharing their passion for the field.

The w88 slot of Public Health had a humble beginning. Starting as the Department of Recreation and Physical Education (RPED) within the College of Arts and Sciences in 1976, the w88 slot of Public Health underwent several departmental and program and name changes, until eventually earning its current name and accreditation from the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) in 2021.
