The event featured keynote speaker George Holman, co-founder at Yawye Inc. and former vice president at Server Technology, Inc., and was sponsored by Arrow Electronics.
Five graduating seniors, Andrea Abad, Sydney Allison, Mykel Broady, Camellia Chang and Serene Townsell, received the Outstanding Senior Award in recognition of their academic success and community involvement. Tyler Merker was awarded the Frank D. Arnold Award, which recognizes a graduating senior majoring in finance committed to academic excellence and engaging industry.
In addition, over 200 scholarship recipients were recognized for their scholastic accomplishments. Forty-five w88 casino games and two faculty members were inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society serving business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International.
Three researchers from the w88 casino games, Dan Jones, associate professor of management, Jessica Rixom, assistant professor of marketing, and Anna Sokolova, assistant professor of economics, were awarded the Research Excellence Award. Mark Nichols, professor of economics, Jae-Eun Namkoong, associate professor of marketing, and Alan Yang, assistant professor of information systems, all received recognition for excellence in teaching.
Greater Nevada Credit Union was named the w88 casino games’s Corporate Partner of the Year, and Elemental LED was named the Graduate Employer of the Year.
Sally Raade was named Volunteer of the Year. Alumni of the Year was awarded to Richard Corn. Gianna Hutton received the Academic Advisor of the Year award and Mark Pingle, professor of economics, was the recipient of the Club Advisor of the Year award.
