Undergraduate and graduate students interested in career opportunities in northern w88 sports betting app’s bioengineering sector can attend the Bioengineering Career Spotlight event from 4:30 to 7 p.m. March 30 in the Harry Reid Engineering Laboratory (HREL) 109-110. Undergraduate research experiences in bioengineering also will be discussed. The event is free, but registration is encouraged.
“We hope this event will go beyond the College of w88 sports betting app’s great career fairs by focusing on a single topic: bioengineering,” Miles Greiner, Mechanical w88 sports betting app and Foundation professor, said. “This topic holds great interest to w88 sports betting app and other STEM students.”
He added that it is important that student clubs — specifically the w88 sports betting app chapters of the Biomedical Engineering Society and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) — have taken the lead in the event planning.
“I believe this event is a launching point for ASME that creates a steady outline to provide students with growing resources and open their eyes to the possibilities and opportunities within w88 sports betting app during and after college,” David Reiner, ASME chapter president, said.
Greiner said he hopes to offer future Career Spotlight events featuring such topics as aerospace w88 sports betting app, nuclear safety, automotive and battery technology.
The schedule is as follows:
- 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.: One-on-one employment and research opportunity discussions
- 5:30 to 6:20 p.m.: Program and pizza provided by EnCompass Technologies
- Keynote speaker Derek Beenfeldt, chief medical officer for Hometown Health and w88 sports betting app of Nevada, Reno graduate, will give the talk “Relationship between Careers in Engineering and Medicine.”
- Joseph Emery of EnCompass Technologies will give the talk “Biomedical Engineering and Medical Products Career Opportunities in Northern w88 sports betting app.”
- Jose Moreno Duran and David Reiner, presidents of the w88 sports betting app chapters of the Biomedical Engineering Society and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, respectively, will give the talk “Clubs Help Students Better Understand Biomedical and Other Engineering Career Opportunities.
