The Nevada swim w88 mobile secured wins against the UC Davis Aggies and the Cal State East Bay Pioneers on Saturday. The Pack finished the dual meet against the Aggies with a final score of 167-88. The dual against the Pioneers had a final score of 178-77. Nevada moves to 3-0 in dual meets this season.
"It was a great start to our season," said head coachBrendon Bray. "I'm very happy with the wins and excited to keep improvingin two weeksat Fresno State."
The meet belonged to w88 mobile from the start, with the Pack winning all fourteen events of the meet. Starting with the 200 medley relay,Kyla Alexander,Donna dePolo,Josien Wijkhuijs, andCaitlyn McHughwon with a time of 1:44.44.
SeniorReese Lamphpicked up the first individual win for the Pack in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:46.57. SeniorMikayla Dancefollowed Lamph and secured second place with a time of 10:55.84.
SeniorMariana Vignolipicked up two individual wins for the Pack in the 200 free and 500 free with times of 1:54.06 and 5:08.85, respectively. Senior, McHugh, finished second in the 200 free with a time of 1:54.76. McHugh also picked up her individual win in the 100 free with a time of 53.69.
Senior, Wijkhuijs secured individual wins in multiple events. The Friesland,Netherlands native finished on top with a time of 56.36 in the 100 back, 24.51 in the 50 free, and 55.92 in the 100 fly.
Continuing the breaststroke tradition, the Pack secured the top three times in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Senior,Wiktoria Samulaled the w88 mobile with a time of 1:03.34, followed by dePolo (1:04.17), andGianni Pitto(1:06.92). Samula also won the 200, with a time of 2:19.03, followed by Pitto (2:25.45) and Dance (2:27.85)
2021 Mountain West ChampionsJulia AdamczykandBenedict Nagyfinished on top in the 200 fly. Adamczyk won with a time of 2:09.15 while Nagy swam in 2:09.86. Nagy picked up her individual win in the 200 back with a time of 2:08.31. She also swam the 200 IM and finished with a time of 2:08.68.
