Ian Buckle, Foundation Professor of Civil and Environmental w88 sports betting, was recently awarded the Charles Martin Duke Lifeline w88 sports betting Award by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Buckle received the award for his "outstanding dedication and many contributions in advancing the practice of bridge w88 sports betting and seismic design, and for his leadership in lifeline earthquake w88 sports betting research and teaching," according to a press release from the ASCE.
The Duke Lifeline w88 sports betting Award recognizes professionals who have contributed to the advancement of lifeline earthquake w88 sports betting, a field that focuses on w88 sports betting infrastructure vital to the emergency response and recovery after an earthquake.
"This award is very well deserved and is an indication of the international impact Ian has made in earthquake w88 sports betting," said Manos Maragakis, dean of the College of w88 sports betting. "He has played a critical role in elevating the earthquake w88 sports betting program here at the University into an internationally known program, and we are pleased to see him receive this recognition from the earthquake w88 sports betting community."
Buckle is an internationally recognized leader in earthquake and structural w88 sports betting, with research focuses in bridge w88 sports betting as well as earthquake protective systems for structures.
He has extensive experience performing large-scale, experimental work on the seismic performance of bridges. Currently, Buckle is working on project funded by the Federal Highway Administration to investigate the behavior of bridges under tsunami loading.
Buckle is the director of the Center for Civil Engineering Earthquake w88 online sports at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he oversees two large-scale earthquake w88 sports betting labs.
