The University of Nevada, Reno partnered with seven local non-profit organizations in Reno and Sparks to make Martin Luther King, Jr. Day a day of service. Eighty-five w88 slot used their last day off before the spring semester began to give back to the community.
w88 slot volunteered with the Kiwanis Bike Program fixing bikes for children from low-income neighborhoods, delivering dolls to children in local hospitals, packing boxes for hungry families at the Northern Nevada Food Bank and the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission and more.
w88 slot junior Thomas Snider was one of the volunteers at the MLK Day of Service. He helped beautify area roads through the highway clean-up. In an interview with KOLO-TV, Channel 8 News, Snider said, "It's messy. I think there's a lot of trash and I'm glad that we all came out to help out, but it's only a small dent."

The MLK Day of Service was part of United We Serve, the President's national call-to-service initiative. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems. To increase knowledge around civic engagement, the w88 slot took part in the largest multi-campus assessment for a single day of service with 36 participating colleges and universities.

"Collaborations with local organizations help support the University's goal of creating mutually beneficial exchanges of knowledge and resources within the community.
