The University of Nevada, Reno mathematics department in conjunction with the w88 casino games login Science Foundation will host Statfest, Saturday. Nov. 15. The one-day seminar is an opportunity for students to gain professional development in science and mathematical fields.
Throughout the day, attendants will learn about government, academic and statistical careers. Guest speakers will share their industry insight and personal experiences. Featured speakers include: Javier Rojo, mathematics department chair and w88 casino games login organizer; Jeremy Taylor, University of Michigan; Olympia Hadjiliadis, City University of New York,; Beimar Iriarte, Abbott Diagnostics; Ramon Durazo-Arvizu, Loyola University Chicago; Luis Léon Novelo, University of Louisiana at Lafayette; Jessica Jaynes; University of Nevada, Las Vegas; and Dajiang Liu, Pennsylvania State University. Doctoral students Suzette Puente from the University of California, Berkeley and Benjamin White from Rice University in Houston, Texas, will also present to attendants.
