Chris Lynch leads Business Environmental Program at University; NSBDC

Launched and managed similar program at Wharton School

Joining the University of Nevada, Reno College of Business and the Nevada Small Business Development Center this year is Chris Lynch, director of the Business Environmental Program. Lynch, an environmental attorney, is a nationally recognized expert on small business environmental and energy issues who managed a similar program for 13 years at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has testified on small business energy, climate and environmental issues before the U.S. Senate and the Pennsylvania General Assembly.

“We are delighted to have Chris join our team,” said Sam Males, state director of the Nevada Small Business Development Center. “The University of Nevada, Reno has become a national w88 casino gamesleader in environmental sustainability and renewable energy. These issues are critical to economic development both here in Nevada and nationally.” 

Lynch previously held an appointment as a Senior Fellow at Wharton for the Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership and has served as an advisor to organizations such as the Environmental Defense Fund and the Pew Center on Global Climate Change. He was appointed to four terms on the Pennsylvania Small Business Environmental Compliance Advisory Committee by three governors.

“With his impressive experience Chris will be a great statewide asset,” said Greg Mosier, dean of the University’s College of Business. “He has the knowledge to help provide Nevada business and industry with solutions to many of their environmental issues, and his expertise will help the state in its economic development efforts. The program specializes in cost-effective strategies to reduce hazardous materials and waste generation, conserve water and energy, minimize air emissions, and maintain compliance with environmental requirements.
