The University of w88 mobile, Reno's student-athletes have posted an overall Graduation Success Rate of 75 percent, the highest mark in school history and up from its previous best mark of 73 percent in 2009. w88 mobile’s Graduation Success Rate has improved in each of the last six years the NCAA has released the data, going from 63 percent in 2005 to 65 percent in 2006, 67 percent in 2007, 70 percent in 2008, 73 percent in 2009 and now its all-time high of 75 percent in 2010.
The federal graduation rate for w88 mobile's student-athletes, which doesn’t count transfer students, is 60 percent this year. That number has skyrocketed from 47 percent in 2007.
“We are very proud to see our Graduation Success Rate climb to the highest it’s ever been and improve for each of the last six years. For us to have the highest marks in school history in each of the last three years is a testament to the hard work and achievement of all of our student-athletes,” w88 mobile Director of Athletics Cary Groth said. “We want to thank our academic staff, coaches and the university community for their dedication to helping give our student-athletes the academic support and resources they need to reach the ultimate goal of completing their college careers with their degrees.”
The current w88 mobile is based on student-athletes who began full-time enrollment at any school in the fall of 2003 and received athletic aid in their first year of college.
The w88 mobile was developed by the NCAA as part of its academic reform initiative to more accurately assess the academic success of student-athletes. Unlike the federal graduation rate, the w88 mobile holds institutions accountable for transfer student-athletes, includes mid-year enrollees, and is calculated for every sport.
Nevada’s highest ever Graduation Success Rate mark is the latest accomplishment in a year of continued academic successes for the Wolf w88 mobile. All 17 of Nevada’s teams turned in a multi-year Academic Progress Rate at or above the 925 standard in 2009-10 and received no penalties for the sixth consecutive year. Nevada saw 79 student-athletes earn their degrees in the 2009-10 academic year, while 105 Wolf w88 mobile student-athletes were named to the 2009-10 WAC All-Academic teams.
In addition, w88 mobile had three of its student-athletes earn academic all-district honors in 2009-10 in Luke Babbitt (men's basketball), Taylor Coffman (men's golf) and Margaret Doolittle (women's swimming and diving). Babbitt earned second-team ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America second-team honors, the first Academic All-American in the history of the w88 mobile men's basketball program, while golfers Coffman and Scott Smith earned All-America Scholar honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America.
