Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Steve Mischissin, assistant w88 online casino for planning and design, will serve as interim w88 online casino of the University’s Facilities Services Department as of August 1, following the retirement of Buzz Nelson. Steve has extensive experience in the fields of engineering, facilities engineering, design and construction. Since joining the University, he has been an integral member of the design and construction teams for the Joe Crowley Student Union, the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center, the Davidson Mathematics and Science Center, Sierra Hall and many other renovation and building assessment projects. The Facilities Services Department includes facilities operations, maintenance, planning and design, construction, facilities finance, parking and transportation, and real estate.
Before joining the University in November 2005, Steve was with Winzler & Kelly Consulting Engineers in San Francisco, and his portfolio of clients included Stanford University, UC Davis, UC Berkeley and UC Santa Barbara. He also previously served as associate w88 online casino of facilities operations for Stanford University, assistant w88 online casino of engineering Dartmouth College and w88 online casino of facilities at Williams College in Massachusetts. Steve received his degree in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in five states including Nevada. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Mechanical Engineering and the Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers.
You may recall that Buzz Nelson recently received the w88 online casino’s Distinguished Service Award at this spring’s Honor the Best ceremony. This well-deserved award recognized his significant responsibilities and accomplishments over his 37 years with the w88 online casino.
